The table below details three NZ record attributes that determine the record type. The first three rows identify records that are part of the original printed volumes. The bottom three records qualify the three means a record can be added or changed by an editor. A correction to the digital record is an edit made in order to bring the digitized record into typographical concurrence with the printed record.* A correction to the printed record is a qualitative change based on the judgement of an editor that requires a departure from the original printed form of the record. In this case a new record is created with the change and linked to the original via a cross-referential link. Lastly a new genus record entry can be added to supplement the original genus listing.
